President Bill Clinton sports a scarf promoting the United States' bid to host the FIFA World Cup in 2018 or 2022 during a break Thursday with the U.S. reporters in Johannesburg. President Clinton, the honorary chairman of the USA Bid Committee also met Thursday with various members of the FIFA Executive Committee who will vote December 2 on the nations that will host the FIFA World Cup tournaments in 2018 and 2022. President Clinton attended Wednesday's 1-0 victory for the U.S. over Algeria and will be on hand Saturday for the United States-Ghana match in Rustenburg.

World Cup Bid Offers Atlanta
as Media Headquarters

When the US Soccer Federation turns in its bid Friday to host the World Cup in 2018 or 2022, it will recommend Atlanta to be the host city for the International Broadcast Center.

US Soccer will make its formal bid to FIFA, the World Cup's governing authority, Friday, in Zurich.
